PANELISTS

Poopalasingam Brahman, Assistant Auditor-General, Queensland Audit Office, was appointed to the position in 2001. Brahman has extensive experience in performing and managing audits in the public sector and currently leads Audit Policy and Quality, the team responsible for technical advice, quality assurance, Reports to Parliament and QAO’s audit methodology. He spent many years managing QAO’s performance management systems audit team, and in this role, conducted and reported on a series of governance and risk management audits across the Queensland public sector. Robert Stroud, IT Service Management & IT Governance evangelist at Computer Associates (CA), was re elected international vice president of ISACA & ITGI and a member of the COBIT Steering Committee in 2008. In his position at CA, Robert helps to ensure that the company’s solutions adhere to best practices in service management and governance. A 25-year IT veteran, he is a recognised globally as an industry speaker and leader. He has written numerous publications on IT industry standards and best practices. Robert, currently located in New York, joined CA from Australia having held several positions within the IT and retail banking sectors. 

 

Jo Stewart-Rattray, Director of Information Security at RSM Bird Cameron (RSMI), Adelaide, is the current Chair of the ISACA Security Management Committee and is a Director of ISACA. Jo is a highly sought after speaker and virtual educator, both nationally and internationally. In her position at RSMI, she specialises in consulting in information security issues with a particular emphasis on governance in both the commercial and operational areas of businesses. Jo has 20 years experience in the IT field some which were spent as CIO in the Utilities space, and 12 in the Information Security arena. She underpins her information technology and security background with qualifications in education, including a major in psychology, information security and management.
